The Housing Market is Open
In late March, due to the Coronavirus crisis, the housing market was in effect put on hold when the government advised against all non-essential house moves and banned agents from listing new properties.
However, after the Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Sunday 10 May, new regulations came into force yesterday, which allow buyers and renters to once again view properties, arrange removals and move home.
The Housing Secretary, Robert Jenrick made the announcement and described the housing industry as ‘critical’, making reference to an estimated 450,000 buyers and renters whose moves had been put on hold by the lockdown.
This of course is all subject to strict social distancing being observed and safety always remaining paramount.
