The CAFCASS Co-Parenting Hub: Support for co-parents during the pandemic
CAFCASS has launched a Co-Parent Hub, this is a free online resource for separated families which combines expertise from across the family justice sector. The website may help your family maintain co-parenting arrangements through the pandemic.
All you need to do is follow the link and then create an account. You will then be able to access information and advice from various charities as well as CAFCASS, children’s service providers and the Ministry of Justice.
This includes information about mediation and the Separated Parents Information Programme.
Once you have registered with the Hub you can see information such as how to make children arrangements during the lockdown. There is also a section on remote working tips to help your work life balance and reducing stress about the virus.
Perhaps more important than the information is the area where you can design your own parenting plan. The plan will help clarify the arrangements you need to put in place to care for your children after separation, and hopefully, without going to court. It gives you advice and help in dealing with your children’s other parent and asks parents to put the best interests of their children first.
There are cross references to those people who are already in the court process.
Each time you visit your account you can see the parenting plan that you have started to make, you can look at goals that you are trying to achieve and bookmark important information.
This is a very helpful and valuable resource.
