Our team joined the Great Legal Walk
This September a Crane & Staples team joined forces with other Herts law firms, raising £500 to prevent families being made homeless, to prevent destitution and to help the elderly gain support.
On Tuesday 12 September 2017, a team from Crane & Staples took part in the annual St. Albans Legal Walk.
The event is run by the Eastern Legal Support Trust, a charity set up in 2010 to raise and distribute funds to legal advice charities across the East of England.
The 8km walk took place around St. Albans raises money for local advice services. Walkers set off from Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre finishing at the Waterend Barn to enjoy a well-earned drink!
We were joined by several local law firms and legal advice organizations, and completed the course in just under 2 hours.
The organisations supported by the Eastern Legal Support Trust prevent families being made homeless, from destitution and helps the elderly gain the support to which they are entitled. Since the reduction in legal aid, charities such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, rely on the donations they receive to continue providing the invaluable services they offer to the public.
Earlier this year, we raised just over £350 for the Trust and the Welwyn Hatfield Citizen’s Advice Bureau in the Great Legal Bake. Our walkers were delighted to raise much needed funds to continue to support the fantastic work of these charities and many others.
