Season’s Greetings from Crane & Staples
Please note that Crane & Staples will be closed from 5.00pm on Wednesday 23rd December 2020, reopening at 9.00am on Monday 4th January 2021.
In response to this year’s events, instead of sending Christmas cards and hosting our usual Christmas celebrations, we are donating to a selection of local charities chosen by our staff.
We are also making efforts to support local businesses in Hertfordshire.

In December, we have planned a staff quiz, treasure hunt, jumper day, toy drive and baking competition. All of these events will benefit different charities.
We wish all our clients and professional colleagues a merry Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
Christmas Wreath Workshop
We were delighted to take part in a wreath making workshop, courtesy of the brilliant Lambert's Flower Company in Welwyn Garden City town centre. We would like to thank them for providing us with all the materials and a very helpful instructional video.
Our staff really enjoyed making the wreaths with their families. We also had fun sharing tips and photos with each other and this was a great way of boosting morale and getting in the Christmas spirit.
Christmas Quiz
The first week of December is "The Big Give" week, where charity donations are doubled as part of this campaign. This week, we are taking part in a staff Christmas quiz, with a new round released every lunchtime. This will culminate in a Christmas scavenger hunt on Wednesday.

We are fundraising for Herts Young Homeless. They are a wonderful local charity who work tirelessly to support young people in Hertfordshire affected by homelessness and hardship. In these difficult times, we are pleased that we can support this cause.

Scavenger Hunt
The final round of our Christmas quiz was a scavenger hunt.
Teams had to find the festive items on the list, either at home or around town, during the lunch hour.
Here are a few of our favourite submissions. We particularly liked Janet and Sara's recreation of the famous 'Love Actually' scene, and one team submitting a photo of Chris, Manish and Malcolm as 'Three Wise Men'.
We are delighted to have raised £125 for Herts Young Homeless.
Christmas Jumper Day
We are so pleased to support Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline as our chosen charity for Christmas Jumper Day this year.
A huge thank you to the Chair of the Helpline, Christine Roach, for joining us on Zoom to judge the competition.
It was lovely for our home and office workers to see each other in our festive finery!
