Lister Abseil: Crane & Staples Solicitors take on an epic challenge!
On Sunday 26th March, Juliette Fletcher, Emma Curtis-Vegh, Megan Latschrauner and Kiera O’Connor bravely took part in the Lister Abseil. The team were raising money for the East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity.
What is the Lister Abseil?
The Lister Abseil is an epic challenge that involves abseiling down the 11-storey Lister Hospital building!
On the day, 98 Participants from all over the county took part in the challenge. These included hospital staff, local people, and representatives from local businesses. Every participant had their own inspiring story and motivation for taking up the challenge.

Which causes does the Lister Abseil support?
Participants can choose which hospital causes to support. You can find out more about the charity's current appeals and campaigns here.
Our fab four chose to raise funds for:
- Dementia Care – the Hospital are fundraising for an activity worker who will provide activities for their dementia patients. They will also make improve the ward to make it more dementia-friendly. This includes funding murals, sound systems, art therapy and entertainment.
- The Butterfly Service - the Butterfly Service is a team of over 40 volunteers who provide comfort and support to end of life patients and families at Lister.
These two important causes are particularly close to our team’s hearts.
How much did the Lister Abseil raise?
We are absolutely delighted to say that Team Crane & Staples have raised an incredible £672! This has massively exceeded their initial target of £500.

In total, the Lister Abseil has raised a staggering £38,000 for the East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity. Donations are still open!
