Law Society says ‘Keep it local!’
The President of the Hertfordshire Law Society, Richard Atkins delivered an important message last month.
The aim is to inform the public that legal services are best delivered locally. Unfortunately, over recent years, we have seen many local people instructing solicitors and other firms which are sometimes at the other end of the country. Needless to say, many clients never even meet their legal advisor.
In some cases, we have come across what appear to be ‘bulk call centre’ firms which often results in an impersonal approach where their clients are treated as one small individual in a pool of hundreds of others.
