Lasting Powers of Attorney going digital

The government is launching a secure online way of applying for a Lasting Power of Attorney. At Crane & Staples we are finding Lasting Powers of Attorney are becoming increasingly popular amongst clients; however the registration period can be quite lengthy. This would provide a quicker and simpler alternative to the current paper-based system.

Lasting Powers of Attorney enable specifically named loved ones to manage and make decisions regarding your property and affairs or if having lost capacity make health and welfare decisions such as the right to refuse life sustaining treatment.
